Course Details

The course goes through the cycle of real estate transactions and introduces students to each
component of transactions and what the duties, responsibilities and goals are for each person in the transaction. Starting with the Listing and Sales Agent rolls, we look at what it takes to be authorized to sell property for others.
We look at marketing property and advertising for buyers. We review contracts and how to take deposits. We review qualifying buyers for loans through loan origination and we review loan processing.

From there we bring in the transaction coordinator and open escrow. With the exception of acting as an agent in transactions, the jobs reviewed in the GREC do not require licensure however, to build a more complete foundation, students are introduced to the main courses required to take the real estate license test. Taking the test is not a requirement of completing the course but it is supported if the student wishes to pursue it.
